Celebrating together makes the birthday better!

Deja* and Marla, one of her Neighboring Volunteers, found out that they share the same birthday. What a great excuse for a party! The group of Neighboring Volunteers from Sandy Hill Community Church held a “birthday twins” party on the playground of the church preschool. They celebrated with pizza, cupcakes, and presents – gift cards requested by Deja to help with essentials, and plants from their gardens for Marla. The simplicity of a shared celebration was a great way for everyone to get to know each other better! And no one should have to celebrate their birthday alone.
