Parthenia’s Story
Parthenia and her five children were facing homelessness after a water leak in their apartment made it uninhabitable, so she reached out to Bridge of Hope. She found new housing, met with a career counselor, became a certified CPR instructor, and experienced love and support from her group of Neighboring Volunteers.
Inspired by the support that she’s received in the past, Parthenia now feels comfortable reaching out and paying it forward. “I have been blessed and now I can open my door to help others,” Parthenia said.
Nayr’s Story
Nayr’s life had hit a dead end. Despite a full-time job, she was stuck, living out of their car with no prospects of improvement save one: Bridge of Hope. Participation would require her to let down her guard and trust others, she knew. Would Nayr, who prided herself for her independence, be able to open up and accept help?
